Ed Greene spent almost all of his broadcast career in Denver, Colorado, beginning as a disc jockey at KLZ, then onto KIMN, KIMN-FM, KAAT, and KTLK Radio with stints ranging from disc jockey to Music Director to Program Director.
In 1976 Ed made the switch to television, beginning a career that spanned 45 years – longer than any on-air personality in any capacity in Denver broadcast television history. Ed has worked at all three major network affiliates: KMGH, KUSA and spending the bulk of his career at KCNC (CBS4) – 34 years. Ed also worked at several radio stations simultaneously–primarily KYGO and KOA–in addition to his television work. During his entire career, Ed has done voice work and narrations for a variety of clients, including Garth Brooks’ Teammates for Kids.
After “retiring” for two years, Ed is now back at Channel 9 doing weather on 9News Mornings from 4:30am to 7 on Channel 9, continuing from 7 to 9am on Channel 20…and now going into his 46th year in Denver television.
