Ethics in Business

Honoring local organizations with the highest ethical standards

Golden Rotary conducted its 17th annual Ethics in Business (EIB) Awards program this year. The program culminated in an awards luncheon on May 6 attended by 200 businesspersons, local officials and community leaders. Twenty-four organizations were nominated by the public, and the winners (chosen by students in the ethics program at the Colorado School of Mines) were:

Sherpa House (for-profit category)
Blue Star Recyclers (not-for-profit category)

Twenty-six sponsors and donors contributed financially in support of the program. Golden Rotary congratulates the winners and nominees and expresses its appreciation to the sponsors and all those who worked to make the 2022 program a success.

Beginning in 2006, Golden Rotary established an Ethics in Business program to honor those businesses and not-for-profit organizations in our area that display the highest standards of ethical business practice, integrity, and civic and social responsibility. Each year, Rotary has asked the community to nominate such organizations. Since program inception, Rotary and its co-hosts have honored 30 organizations for their high ethical standards at annual luncheons with high-profile keynote speakers.
